The highly popular “Rock to Rock Run 2025” organised by the Hard Rock Hotel Penang is back this year.
It will be held on June 15 from 6am from its premises.
Present at a recent press conference to announce and launch the event was the State Exco for Youth, Sports and Health YB Daniel Gooi. Also present was the hotel’s general manager Michael Smeeton.
The Rock to Rock Run began in 2010 as a heartfelt initiative to give back to the local community and has grown into a platform for meaningful change.
This year, marking the 10th year, the milestone event aims to make a greater impact by raising a total of RM50,000 for two deserving beneficiaries.
Among them are Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Ferringhi to help refurbish a classroom, creating an inclusive and safe space for students with disabilities.
Another beneficiary is Caring Hearts Berhad which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing education to refugee and disadvantaged children in Penang.
The funds will help sustain their mission of offering education opportunities to children who lack access to formal schooling.
“The Rock to Rock Run exemplifies how events can unite our community while aligning with the Penang2030 vision of a Family-Focused State. By encouraging family participation and strengthening community bonds, this event contributes to a brighter future for Penang”, said Gooi.

The run is by co-organised by the Penang Amateur Athletic Association (P.A.A.A.), with the support from the Penang State Sports Council and Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang
