Paris Baguette arrives in Penang. It is located at the al-fresco area of Gurney Plaza. 

Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow was the guest-of-honour at the launch ceremony earlier today.

The is also the very first outlet in the Northern Region and offers a wide range of French-Korean inspired delicacies.

Others present were Dato Sydney Quays, Group Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Food Berhad, Ms Hana Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Paris Baguette Southeast Asia, Ms Suanne Chuah, General Manager of Berjaya Paris Baguette, Moon TaeHwan, Franchise Director of Paris Baguette Southeast Asia among others guests.

Representing Gurney Plaza was Ms Selina Ng (Head Retail) and Ms Mandy Leong.

In his address, Chow expressed his thanks for inviting him for the grand opening of the outlet.

“This occasion marks yet another significant milestone for Paris Baguette and Berjaya Food Berhad.

“Congratulations for bringing another internationally renowned brand to Penang. This achievement stads as a testament to Berjaya Food Berhad’s commitment to culinary and operational excellence and its vision of elevating Malaysia’s F&B business to the global landscape.

“I am personally a fan of freshly-baked pastries and I am happy to welcome Paris Baguette as a valuable addition to the vibrant and ever-evolving culinary scene of the state”, said Chow in his address.

He also shared that Penang has been a popular destination for Korean travelers  who are drawn to the island’s rich culture, heritage and cuisine.

“Thus, bringing Korean brands in Malaysia builds a bridge that brings Malaysians and Koreans closer together”, he added.

Meanwhile, Quays said that they are honoured to expand Paris Baguette to Penang as the state is renowned for its cultural vibrancy and appreciation of quality food..  

“The launch of our 13th bakery cafe represents an important step in our group’s growth strategy, reinforcing our commitment to bringing premium offerings and exceptional dining experience to communities across Malaysia and the world”, he said.

Among the popular food items at Paris Baguette are quiches, pizzettas, stuffed croissants, Baguette, Caprese Baguette, Ham & Cheese Baguette, cakes and many more.
