Ms Yvonne Wan is the new general manager of The Courtyard By Marriott Penang
The Courtyard By Marriott Penang welcomes its new general manager, Ms Yvonne Wan.
Her appointment takes effect from October 16, 2023.
Wan comes with more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry serving in various capacities in the sales and marketing department.
She started her career in 1998 and served in various posts till moving up to senior roles as the Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Langkawi Resort and later as the Hotel Manager at the St Regis Bali.
She had also served as the general manager at the Four Points By Sheraton Shanghai and Hilton Nanjing Riverside during her seven-year tenure in China.
Wan also served in Indonesia to open the Sheraton Belitung Resort.
She returned to Malaysia to support the pre-opening Penang Marriott Hotel, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Residences Penang.
She is a frim believer in keeping fit and practices yoga and exercising at the gym.
