Playing their role as a caring corporate citizen, the Ascott Gurney Penang and Citadines Prai Penang joined forces to do their part in conjunction with the “World Cleanup Day” recently.

They joined hands to contribute to one of the largest civic movements in the world. This global social action program focuses on tackling the growing issue of solid waste and marine debris, encouraging communities to come together in collective efforts to safeguard the planet.

Citadines Prai Penang and Citadines Connect Georgetown Penang took the initiative with their energetic team, & “Let’s Do It Citazens!” to clean up the River Trail in Bukit Minyak while Citadines Connect Georgetown Penang ensured a clean Georgetown from Lebuh Noordin to Lebuh Cecil. 

Armed with the spirit of service, the team worked to remove waste and restore the beauty of the surrounding community. Their participation in this important cause highlights their commitment to environmental sustainability, proving that local action can have a global impact.

At the same time, the dedicated team from Ascott Gurney Penang rallied together to clean the Tanjung Tokong beach, removing debris and pollutants from the shore to protect the coastal ecosystem. 

By coming together, the Ascott Gurney team demonstrated that every small action plays a role in preserving and protecting the Earth’s natural resources.

World Cleanup Day, which brings together millions of volunteers across the globe, aims to bridge communities and unite people of all backgrounds, creating a shared vision for a cleaner, healthier world. By participating in this meaningful event, both Ascott Gurney Penang and Citadines Prai Penang are making significant strides in addressing the solid waste challenge, contributing to a greener future for Penang.
