Ms Tammy Khoo is now the GM of JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La

Congratulations are in order for Ms Tammy Khoo who has been promoted as the general manager of the JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La with effect Oct 1, 2024.
She initially started her tenure at the JEN hotel here as their hotel manager from January 1, 2023.
Khoo joined the group in November 2010 and took on various sales and marketing roles at the Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur prior to taking on the hotel leadership role as the Resident Manager in the same property.
Under her leadership, the JEN Hotel has shown remarkable and positive results in overall sales along with guest and staff satisfaction and engagement.
Meanwhile, Khoo who is actually a Penangite who had moved to Kuala Lumpur for better opportunities.
She first started in the hospitality industry when she started work in the Equatorial Hotel way back in the early days.
“With new responsibilities come new expectations and as a team, I am confident of delivering the numbers.
“I like to observe a hands-on style of management as engagement with all levels of the staff members is very important nowadays.
“I also welcome employees to approach me directly and adopt an open door policy if there are any issues or matters they would want to discuss privately,” she shared with Penang Hyperlocal.
Khoo was also quick to add that she still hopes to make a holiday trip to Japan with her family members.
