Sunway Hotel Georgetown team cleaning up their surroundings
In keeping with their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and also in conjunction with World Clean Up Day, the Sunway Hotel Georgetown and Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya organized community clean-up events recently.
The initiative was part of their ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. These initiatives reflect both hotels’ dedication to preserving the beauty and cleanliness of Penang’s natural surroundings while fostering strong relationships with the local community.
Sunway Hotel Georgetown, located on Penang Island, collaborated with the City Council of Penang Island (MBPP) for a clean-up activity near the hotel.
Meanwhile, Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, based in Seberang Perai, joined forces with the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) for a similar initiative too.
Volunteers focused on cleaning public areas near the hotel, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment in Seberang Perai.
Both clean-up activities involved volunteers formed by hotel staff. The event also featured recycling drives and educational sessions to raise awareness about the importance of reducing waste and protecting the environment.
