The Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics (STEM) 2022 showcase will be held from Sept 2 to 3 at the Han Chiang High School here.
On hand to launch the revived event was Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P. Ramasamy in the company of sponsors and guests.
The project is a partnership by Tech Dome Penang and Penang Math Platform working with Penang Skills Development Centre and Penang Science Cluster,
In his address Ramasamy emphasised on the importance of Science and Mathematics for the preparation of the next generation of skilled workers.
“The continued influx of local and foreign direct investment into Penang reflects the confidence of investors,” he said in also thanking the various sponsors to make the project a success.
Also present was Penang STEM general manager Richard Chung and his team.
Chung added that speakers from academic institutions and human resource professionals from the industry will be invited for the education and career talks.
Representatives from Intel Technology, Flextronics, Plexus Manufacturing, Boston Scientific, Bently Education and Equator College were also present at the event.
