The Ordinary, the globally recognised skincare brand known for its commitment to clinical formulations and honest pricing, has opened a temporary pop-up at Gurney Plaza, Penang, till March 31, 2026.

The activation marks the brand’s first physical retail presence outside of the Klang Valley and Putrajaya, signaling a strategic step towards expanding access to ingredient-first skincare across Malaysia.

Following the successful launch of its Kuala Lumpur stores earlier this year, The Ordinary is extending its physical footprint beyond central Kuala Lumpur to better connect with communities in other regions.

Located at one of Penang’s most established shopping destinations, the pop-up is designed to introduce The Ordinary’s science-led skincare philosophy to a broader audience. Guests will be able to explore a curated selection of the brand’s most-loved products while learning more about ingredients, formulations, and how to build skincare regimens based on individual skincare concerns.

The pop-up will run across three key festive periods: Christmas, Chinese New Year, and Hari Raya – creating multiple moments for engagement during a high-traffic season. Designed to be approachable and informative, the space reflects The Ordinary’s belief that transparency and education are essential to effective skincare, with trained team members available to offer personalised guidance.
