Penang Chief Minister with Jagdeep at the ground breaking ceremony
Folks in Kampung Baru in Simpang Ampat will get to enjoy their new homes.
This is following the ground breaking ceremony for another affordable home project there.
Present was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister 1 Dato Ahmad Zakiyuddin Adb Rahman, caretaker government’s committee chairman for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning Mr Jagdeep Singh Deo among others.
In his address, Jagdeep hailed the success of the state government in providing affordable homes for those who qualify.
“We have actually more than doubled the number of affordable homes in the state since 2018. This is proof of what the state government is doing for the people,” he said.
The project will offer some 208 homes in a 20-storey tower. The project is undertaken by GUH Development Sdn Bhd.
Also present were the successful candidates who are eligible for the affordable homes.
