As the popular saying goes- “If you take care of the employees, they will take care of the clients” or in this case, hotel guests.

This is exactly what the management of the Iconic Hotel did recently.

They threw a well deserved staff party to recognise their employee’s hard work and dedication at their staff party.0

The theme for the evening was “Kingdom of Diversity ” which saw the staff dressed in various traditional costumes from all around the world.

Also present was Dato’ Seri Tan Kean Tet, Chairman of Iconic Worldwide Berhad & Iconic Group along with Ms. Tan Seok Fang, James Tan and Joe Tan.

In his welcoming address, general manager Kevin Cheah highlighted the need to take the moment to celebrate the outstanding achievements of this year:

“We have not only broken previous records, but we have shattered them since the day our doors first opened. We also achieved the highest Average Room Rate (ARR), occupancy rates, and revenue. This is a testament to the dedication and diligence of our entire team.

“Maintaining a Stellar 4-Star Rating: It is no small feat to uphold the prestigious 4-star rating that defines our hotel.

“We are also committed to providing exceptional experiences that have been acknowledged on a global scale. We proudly received accolades such as the Traveller Review Awards 2023 from Booking.com, the Outstanding Partner Award from MeiTuan. Additionally, we also earned a spot in the Top Hotel in Bukit Mertajam, Top 20 4-star hotels in Penang and the Top 30 for business travelers in Penang, as recognized by Travelmyth. Also, Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2023. This is a testament to the collective effort we put into creating memorable stays for our guests.

Cheah also shared that next year their new 5-star hotel, the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio by Marriott International.

The evening also saw the departmental performances, best dressed awards, long service awards, live band performance and lots of lucky draw prizes were in store.
