The Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa and the Golden Sands Resort are ready to usher-in the Year of the Rabbit with a bountiful of delicacies and dishes.
All starts with the all-important CNY eve dinner which is a “must” among celebrants. Family members will travel from far and near to attend the dinner.
The dining experience starts with their traditional Prosperous Yee Sang tossing, starting on Chinese New Year’s Eve. The Yee Sang consists of Raw Fish with Shredded Vegetables Plum Sauce, Salmon, Marinated Cuttlefish, decorated with Whole Pomelos and Mandarin Oranges.
On Chinese New Year’s Eve, Spice Market Café will feature a Springtime Reunion Dinner at RM298 nett per adult, RM149 nett.
Guests can expect a wide range of delicacies, such as the Eight Treasure Soup with King Crabmeat, Sea Cucumber, Dried Scallop and Mushroom, Assortment of Fresh Tuna, Salmon, Butterfish and Octopus plus many other scrumptious decadent treats.
On Chinese New Year’s Day, Spice Market Café will feature a Chinese New Year Brunch at
RM208 nett for adults, The Brunch will be served from 12 noon to 3pm.
On the first and second evening of Chinese New Year, Jan 22 and 23, the Spice Market Café features the Spice & Happiness Dinner priced at RM278 nett per adult and RM139 nett per child.
Among the highlights are Grilled Beef Mignon with Roasted Potatoes with Garlic, Baked Lobster with Homemade Sauce, Pumpkin Seafood Soup with King Crabmeat, Fish Maw Soup with Chinese Herbs and Scallop as well as specially crafted Leng Chee Kang with Sea Coconut and Snow Fungus, a sweet way to end the scrumptious meal. The spread on both days are slightly different, offering guests refreshing options each night.
Over at Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang, Garden Café will feature a Fortune Seafood Buffet Dinner on Chinese New Year’s Eve. The buffet dinner includes a complimentary mocktail, the dinner priced at RM168 nett per adult, RM84 nett per child below twelve years old.
On the first and second day of the Chinese New Year, Jan 22 and 23, 2022, the Garden Café will serve a Fatt Choy Brunch at RM168 nett per adult, RM84 per child below twelve years old.
Among the highlights include the “Yee Sang” accompanied with Norwegian Smoked Salmon, Oven Roasted Australian Beef Striploin, Assorted Chinese New Year Cookies, Iced Longan with Honey Sea Coconut and other delectable dishes.
The first evening of Chinese New Year is celebrated with a feast of Fortune Seafood Buffet Dinner at Garden Café. Priced at RM168 nett per adult and RM84 nett per child, the buffet has an amazing spread with favourites such as Fish of Prosperity “Yee Sang” accompanied with Tasmanian Smoked Salmon, Braised Fish Maw with Dry Oyster and Vegetables, Fried Crab in Black Pepper Sauce and some wonderful desserts to complete the meal; ‘Nian Gao’, Assorted CNY Cookies and Streusel Hazelnut Cake with Lemonade.
At Sigi’s Bar & Grill, there will be a Prosperity BBQ Buffet Dinner served from 6pm to 10pm on Jan 22, 2023, on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Priced at RM168 nett per adult and RM84 nett per child including a mocktail, some of the special an array of speciality such as the Roasted Whole Duck with Asian Flavours, Five Spices NZ Striploins, Grilled Marinated Prawns, Slipper Lobster, Assorted Pastries, Nyonya Kuih and CNY Cookies.
For those who would like to celebrate at home, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang provides exciting takeaways such as Premium ‘Poon Choy’ from RM398 nett suitable for two to three persons, Roasted Duck at RM298 nett, Roasted Chicken at RM128 nett, ‘Buddha Jump Over The Wall’ at RM388 nett suitable for two to three persons and ‘Yee Sang’ for guests and their loved ones to enjoy.
