The management team from The Prestige Hotel Penang had the rare opportunity to tour the newly refurbished Berlin Oceanis, currently berthed at the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) in George Town, Penang.
Led by General Manager, Melvin Ooi, the delegation was warmly welcomed onboard by Edmund Foo, General Manager of Tahan Holidays Sdn Bhd, along with Senior Sales Manager Zeon Wong.
During the guided tour, the hotel team explored a range of impressive onboard facilities, including the ship’s main restaurant, karaoke lounge, bar and cocktail lounge, guest cabins, spa and wellness centre, as well as a gaming and entertainment room.
The visit provided valuable insights into the hospitality and guest experience offered aboard the Berlin Oceanis, a cruise liner that has been thoughtfully updated to meet modern comfort and design standards.
Foo highlighted that the cruise ship is not only a destination for scenic voyages, but is also open for private and corporate event bookings, offering a unique alternative to traditional venues.
“Wednesdays are our non-sailing days, and we welcome groups looking to host social events, corporate meetings, product launches, or even private celebrations on board,” said Foo.
“It’s a refreshing change from conventional ballrooms and halls, giving guests an elevated experience at sea, without ever leaving the port.” he added.
The Berlin Oceanis can accommodate up to 700 passengers and is staffed by a dedicated international crew of 172 professionals, ensuring top-tier service and hospitality.
