The president of Kuheiji sake and wine Mr Kuheiji Kuno of Banjo Jozo Co., Ltd made his very first visit to Langkawi in conjunction with their tasting session at the Liquid Valley @ Pantai Cenang here.
Some 30 representatives from the food and beverage industry here had a chance to savour some of their sake and wine samples.
Among them were the Domaine Kuheiji Crement, Domaine Kuheiji Blanc, Kuno Kuheiji Honten, Kamoshibito Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki Eau Du Desir and Kamoshibito Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo Omachi Sauvage.

In fact, Kuno is the 15th generation of sake makers in this long history of the family business.
“Sake and wine making have similar agricultural based ingredients as one is rice and the other is grapes. Since 2010, we have grown our own high quality rice to make our sake brand in Nagoya, Japan.
“Meanwhile, our wine range comes from the Burgundy region in France where some of the world’s finest wines come from”, said Kuno during the presentation.
He later mingled with the participants to get to know them better and their views on their sake and wine range.
Joining the session was beverage specialist / consultant Thomas Ling, Matei Gabriel Nicolae, Kuheiji International sales and Takahito Igarashi Executive Director TMI Trading.
The session was organized by S. H Maju Sdn Bhd.
