US-based Pivotal Systems Corporation, a leading innovator in precision gas flow control technology, has officially opened its new high volume manufacturing facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park.
This strategic expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s global expansion, reinforcing its commitment to delivering advanced gas flow solutions for the semiconductor and other high-tech industries. The grand opening of this facility will be held on November 7, 2024, with key industry leaders and government officials from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in attendance.
During the ceremony, special guests will hear keynotes from company executives, tour the state-of-the-art facility and explore the company’s latest advancements in precision gas flow control solutions.

For over a decade, Pivotal Systems’ advanced gas flow control technology has become critical in advancing semiconductor manufacturing solutions. The Malaysia facility enhances supply chain capabilities and positions the company to meet the dynamic needs of customers with greater speed, agility, and scale.

The expansion follows Pivotal Systems’ acquisition by OmegaX Inc. in November 2023, which has driven significant growth and accelerated the company’s strategic initiatives. Pivotal Systems has invested aggressively in R&D and introduced several groundbreaking products, including the GFC for Jigh Flow, GFC-Thermal, Pressure Controller, and Flow Ratio Controller, which provide unprecedented precision and efficiency in semiconductor manufacturing.
Last month, Pivotal opened an engineering and manufacturing site in Korea and plans to open a new advanced R&D, pilot and support center in Silicon Valley in early 2025. This site in Malaysia is anticipated to accelerate innovation in gas-flow technologies and solidify essential relationships across the semiconductor and adjacent industries.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of MIDA, Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Pivotal System on the inauguration of its first manufacturing facility in Malaysia.
