Cafe to reopen with top Indonesian band, Splitfire this June
The Hard Rock Cafe Penang will be closed for a major renovation and upgrading exercise for the whole month of May 2019.
The popular entertainment outlet will be back better and brighter to cater for its followers from June 2019 onwards.
In conjunction with the opening, a seven-piece Indonesian band, Splitfire will take over the stage.
Formed in 2010, the band consists of female vocalist Sofie Wulandari along with two male vocalist, namely Handy Prakosa and Susana Ariyanto.
Sofie is credited as being in the top 10 on the Indonesian Idol 2008.
The band is well versed in rock, top of the pops, R&B, alternative and funk numbers.
The other band members are Husen Hambali who is the leader and lead guitarist, Achmad Lutfi Maulana on the bass guitar, Surya Akmal Saputra on keyboards and Bonar Scorwa on drums
Over the years, the band had performed at major nightspots in South East Asia and also at the Hard Rock Café Jakarta, Hard Rock Cafe Bali, Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur, Hard Rock Cafe Melaka, Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya, Hard Rock Cafe Phuket and Hard Rock Cafe Koh Samui.
