“This recognition is for the people of Penang and all those who have been working hard to where we are today.
“However, we should not let our guard down and rest on our laurels. Just to share some background, it was back in Abu Dhabi in 2020 where more than 100 countries attended the gathering and we received interest from more than 20 who wanted to participate in the project.
“The award is a major recognition for all our work done and we have a lot more work to do ,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also known as the Global Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and harmony.
