After a month of free service for commuters on the new ferries, the Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) announced the new rates for passengers at Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU) and Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH).
This is in a bid to improve the ferry experience and maintain the highest standards of service.
These updated rates will come into effect tomorrow, September 7, 2023.
“The new ferry fares reflect our commitment to our persistence towards continued improvement for all passengers — while also supporting the upgraded facilities of the ferry service. Our goal is to provide a safe, convenient, and enjoyable journey for everyone, and these changes are instrumental in achieving that objective,” read the press statement.
.The new ferry fares are as follows ( For two-ways x 2):
• Pedestrians below 12 years old: RM 1.00
• Adults (12 years old and above): RM 2.00
• Bicycle: RM 2.00
• Motorcycle: RM 2.50
In addition to the ferry fares, PPSB will soon introduce a Monthly Pass offering significant discounts for frequent travellers. This initiative aims to provide even more value and convenience for our loyal users.
Passengers can enjoy a 50% discount on monthly passes until December 31, 2023 and thereafter, a 30% discount starting from January 1, 2024. The initiative aims to provide even more value and convenience for loyal ferry passengers.
