The recently concluded Penang Orchid Festival 2023 received overwhelming response from participants and members of the public. 

In all, there were 34 booths displaying various species of orchids and related items.

For the first time,  there was the participation of 23 primary and secondary schools.

Droves of enthusiasts were seen admiring Nature’s beauty and many took pictures of the plants.

There was even an award winning orchid named after the president of Singapore, Puan Halimah Yacob on show.

A bonsai booth also displayed impressive choices of plants for collectors.

Meanwhile, judges from USA, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia and Thailand presided over the selection of winning orchids. 

Among the top winners were valued around RM30,000.
