Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak made his presence at the Chinese New Year gathering at the Taman Penang Free School recently.
The Governor even tried his hand in making chapatis for guests. What a sporting gesture.
Several hundred residents from the surrounding area attended the occasion.
Also present was State Exco for Tourism, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo and his family.
“Our CNY open houses at Taman Free School and Datok Keramat were attended by our Governor. He also tried his hand in making chapati. I am amazed to see that my own Governor humbly took part in preparing some chapati.
“Meanwhile, we move forward with all of our projects including delivery of affordable housing whereby todate we are at 140,395 from rent-to-own, low cost(RM42,000), low medium cost(RM72,000) and other types of Affordable Housing(AH).
“In the last three days, I have been to Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to visit PR1MA, the Housing and Local Government Ministry and Plan Malaysia to discuss amendments to several laws so as we can move forward with our agenda of not only delivery of Affordable Housing but also Urban Regeneration in Penang whereby those in housing schemes that need attention can now be given newer, larger units with better facilities.
