Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo held his Hari Raya open house for his Datok Keramat constituency at the Dewan Balai Rakyat Jalan Petani.
Guest-of-honour was Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow.
Also present was Penang Island City Council Mayor Dato A Rajendran and other dignitaries.
The evening also saw an overwhelming turnout of members of the public and nearby residents. In all, it was estimated to be over 1,000 guests.
They were treated to local delicacies like satay, nasi briyani, chicken, desserts and the lot.
In his address, Jagdeep thanked Tun Ahmad Fuzi for making time to attend the open house.
“We have made many improvements to overcome the flood problem in this area. We also have many job opportunities for our children in the numerous small and big scale factories in the state”, said Jagdeep.
Meanwhile, Chow thanked the Governor for attending the various open houses and to meet the common people.
“Penang is always promoting a family orientated society for the benefit of its citizens which is part of Penang Vision2030”. he said calling upon guests to enjoy the various selection of food and entertainment.
Also invited were children from the various orphanages and charitable homes around the constituency.
Guests were also entertained by a selection of song and dance routines.
