As one of the most prestigious international expositions, World Expo 2025 offers Penang a unique and strategic platform to highlight its economic strengths, innovation-driven industries, and sustainable development initiatives to an international audience.
In particular, the state will showcase its competitive advantages in the electrical and electronics (E&E), semiconductor, green technology, and medical technology sectors. At the sidelines of the expo, the Chow will also engage in business forums, investment networking sessions, and government-to-government dialogues with influential Japanese stakeholders. These engagements highlight Penang’s continued commitment to building resilience, advancing sustainability, and driving innovation-led growth.
Expressing optimism, the Chief Minister said that Penang’s presence at World Expo 2025 will not only elevate the state’s global visibility but also deliver lasting benefits for Penangites by securing new economic opportunities, cultural exchange, and global partnerships.
