Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow is currently on a 10- day working visit to the United States of America.
During the first three days of the visit, the team held strategic meetings and site visits in San Jose.
Joining him were delegates from InvestPenang who engaged with both existing and potential investors, including MKS Instruments, Brooks Instruments, Lattice Semiconductor, AMD, Synopsys, Efinix, Agilent, Coherent, and SambaNova.
The investment & trade mission to the United States is organised by InvestPenang.
The primary objectives are to renew ties and strengthen relationships with the corporate headquarters of US investors in Penang, encourage the expansion of their Penang sites, and attract new investments.
The team will also be visiting corporate headquarters in Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego for the remaining days.
Penang, already known as the Silicon Valley of the East, will further benefit from this tour of the Chief Minister.
