In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH) did not want to forget the residents of Ci Ai Home for the Elderly here.
To show their care for the elderly, the hospital took the initiative to raise funds and organize a community service project for the residents.
The PAH food & beverage team prepared a spread of New Year’s dishes, including Adventist Hospital’s cinnamon rolls and desserts to spread cheer.
Besides the food, a donation of everyday items and medical supplies was also made.
On hand was the President and Chief Executive Officer of PAH, Ronald Koh who also personally prepared ang pow for all the residents and volunteers present.
Due to the high number of Covid-19 cases and to ensure the safety of the elderly, the charity team were only able to deliver the items instead of spending time serving the residents as originally planned.
Nevertheless, they were warmly welcomed by the residents and their management team.
The commendable deed surely brought much needed smiles to the faces of the elderly folk.
