
The PDRM Penang International 2nd Bridge Solidarity Fun Ride 2026 was successfully flagged off from the Queensbay Mall South parking area last night.
The event drew strong participation from both local and international cycling enthusiasts.
The event was made more meaningful with the presence of Penang Governor Tun Ramli Ngah Talib, who was among the riders, demonstrating his support for healthy living and community unity.
Also lending his support was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow. The ride further received high-level participation from Penang Police Chief Dato’ Azizee Ismail, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, and the Raja Muda of Kedah, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, underscoring the event’s significance.


A total of 2,500 riders from 17 countries took part in the fun ride, reflecting its growing international appeal. Among the largest contingents were from Singapore and India.
Participants were challenged to complete the 52-kilometre route across the Penang Second Bridge within a maximum time of three hours.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, several bands performed to add to the atmosphere of the event.
A lucky draw was also held for participants, among the prizes was a Proron Saga Car and motorbikes too.
Making the event not only a test of endurance but also an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved.
