Good time at PCEB media appreciation dinner
Penang Exhibition & Convention Bureau (PCEB) hosted media members to a fine gathering and dinner at the Courtyard By Marriott Penang.
Some 60 guests were hosted to a live band performance, lucky draw and camaraderie.
Present to welcome guests was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin who is also the chairman for PCEB along with PCEB chief executive officer, Ashwin Gunasekeran.
Also present was Datin S Barathi, general manager of Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI) and Siti Sarah, PCEB marketing head and their team.

In his address, Yeoh thanked media members for their support and carrying the right message of the community.
“Today, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support and invaluable contributions to promoting tourism in our beautiful state.
“Your dedication, professionalism, and passion have been instrumental in showcasing the unique wonders of Penang. Your work has ignited the curiosity of countless individuals, encouraging them to embark on unforgettable journeys to our shores.
“Traditional and digital media have differences but both are equally important to reach a wider audience. Your role as media is so significant to the tourism and creative industries that it endorses the importance of the industries and the value of traveling, you are also the bridge between the world and Penang,” He added.
He also shared that the good work of the media members has helped elevate Penang’s profile as a must-visit destination, attracting visitors from all corners of the globe and boosting our local economy.
