In keeping with the year-end festive season, the PARKROYAL Penang Resort hosted children from the Children Protection Society and the Shan’s Children Home for their Christmas buffet spread.

On hand to welcome them was resort general manager Edward Kollmer and his management team members.

In his welcoming address, Kollmer shared that they have fully renovated the Andaman Grand ballroom, meeting facilities to showcase natural daylight and reveal the natural beauty of the lush surroundings through expansive windows.

“These refreshed spaces enriched with soft earthy tones and featured ceilings create an ambience that is both invigorating and calming- ideal for productive meetings and memorable celebrations alike.

“We have also created a peaceful lantern garden courtyard and serene lounge area with comfortable daybeds just outside the ballroom. Other features include the latest audio-visual technology and lighting systems.

“However, today is about the community and the spirit of giving to welcome the children from the various homes”, he added.

Also present were the members of the International Women’s Association of Penang who rendered several Christmas carols to get guests into the merry mood.

The children were entertained by Santa Claud and several party games too. They later dined at the Xmas spread buffet counters which offered seasonal specials.

Media members and guests were also taken on tour of the resort’s latest upgraded ballroom, guest rooms and other function halls at the resort. The ballroom can host up to 300 guests and includes a pre-function area too.

The resort offers its Christmas eve buffet dinner specials with a wide variety of local and international dishes.
