Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Sun made its maiden voyage to the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) yesterday (March 30), 2025.

The ship has a capacity of 1936 passengers and is 12 decks high. The cruise ship was refurbished in 2021 and is currently on a 12-day journey from Singapore to Benoa, Bali in Indonesia. 

Welcoming the passengers and crew was Dato Yeoh Soon Hin, Deputy chairman of Tourism Malaysia and his team members. 

They were received by Captain Captain Teo Redun and exchanged plagues.

The welcoming ceremony included a lion dance and presentation of goody bags.

Among the cruise ships stopovers are in Klang, Langkawi, Phuket, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya from March 28 to April 9, 2025. 

Owned by Norwegian Cruise Line and they have 19 cruise ships under their group. Norwegian Sun was refurbished in 2021 and also has a sister ship called Norwegian Sky 

Among the facilities onboard the cruise ship are restaurants, dining room, bars, lounges, Atrium Cafe & Bar, Spinnaker Lounge, Bliss Ultra Lounge and the Stardust Lounge for entertainment.
