A new batch of councillors took their oath of office at the Penang Island City Council.this morning.
Their appointment is effective Oct 1, 2023 and ends on December 31, 2024..
Present to witness the proceedings was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Deputy Chief Minister 11 YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, State Exco for Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jason H’ng, Mayor Dato A Rajendran among others.
The new councillors are Alan Lim Wei Lun (DAP), Benji Ang Ming Quan (DAP), Choong You Ray (DAP), Koay Gaik Kee (Gueno) (DAP), Lee Seng Hwai (DAP), Quah Boon Lim (DAP), Rohaizat Hamid (DAP), Tan Soo Siang (DAP), Theng Jie Wey (DAP), R. Vickneson (DAP), Abdul Latif Mohamad (PKR), Chan Soon Aun (PKR), Tan Chiew Choon (PKR), Mohd Suhairi Arumugam Abdullah (PKR), R. Hari Krishnan (PKR), Shafiz Rahim Raja (PKR), Mohd Roshidi Roslan (PKR), Ooi Mei Mei (PKR), Mohd Hafiz Abd Aziz (Amanah), Mohd Faruk Abdul Rahman (Amanah), Saiful Azwan Abd Malik (Amanah), Bakar Noordin (Amanah) and David Chen Wooi Teong (NGO).
