Experienced hotelier, Ms Vimala Sivasubramaniam has been appointed Cluster Director of Sales (Leisure) for PARKROYAL Penang Resort and Gurney Bay Hotel, A PARKROYAL Partner Hotel, effective January this year.
In her new role, Vimala is responsible for shaping and driving leisure sales strategies, with a key focus on increasing guest engagement, market penetration and occupancy across both properties.
She brings extensive experience in hotel sales and hospitality, with a strong track record in developing new markets and fostering business growth within competitive environments.
Prior to this appointment, she has held senior sales leadership roles in the hotel sector, including within the PARKROYAL Group and other international hotel operations in Malaysia.
Vimala next travels for the ITB Berlin being held from March 3 to 5, 2026 to promote their properties.
Supporting Vimala is Amirul Jamaludin, Cluster Sales Executive, who also brings years of industry experience to the team. Together, they are tasked with driving revenue growth and maximizing occupancy levels across both PARKROYAL properties in Penang.
