The Northern International Audio & Visual Show (NIAVS) 2026 continued its strong opening with a lively networking session yesterday evening, held after the first day of showcases concluded.

The gathering brought together a diverse mix of industry players, including exhibitors, hoteliers, media representatives, and members of the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB). It provided an ideal setting for both seasoned professionals and newcomers to connect in a more relaxed environment.

Among those spotted at the event were Datin S. Barathi, General Manager of CMI; Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB, Wilson Teoh, Director of Gryphon Productions, Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai, GM of Lone Pine and NEO+ Hotel, Subash Basrur, GM of Equatorial Penang, Doris Hor, the Director of Sales and Marketing of Amari Spice Penang, among others.

Guests were treated to an array of local and international cuisine, adding a flavorful touch to the evening’s conversations. The session created valuable opportunities for attendees to reconnect with industry peers, exchange insights on emerging trends, and forge new business relationships.

The exhibition itself reflects NIAVS’s international appeal, with exhibitors from Canada, the United States, Japan, China, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, and Taiwan showcasing their latest innovations in audio and visual technology.

Earlier in the day, the event was officially launched by the State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Wong Hon Wai, marking the beginning of what has already proven to be a dynamic and engaging showcase.

The event runs until Sunday, April 19, 2026, so there is still time for visitors and enthusiasts to experience firsthand the latest in musical equipment and cutting-edge audio-visual advancements.
