Some 5,000 bikers from all over the country including those from Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunel will descend upon Penang in conjunction with the 5th Vespa Lambretta Jamboree 2022.
The gathering will be held at the Esplanade from October 29 to 30th, 2022.
Present at a press conference to announce the event was State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with Aidzam Alias founder of Motoburuk Garage and general manager of the NEO+Hotel Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai who are the official hotel.
Also present was Mohd Amir Azhar from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) Penang chapter, Tourism Malaysia Penang’s Mohd Yusoff Hashim and Pak Mat Western Sdn Bhd’s chief marketing officer Akmar Merican.
” We are happy to host this grand event in Penang as it will be one of the best. This proves that Penang is one of the best destinations in the country. We will also ensure the safety and security of the participants and public through our enforcement agencies,” said Jagdeep.
Following a Heritage Ride, there will be lots of activities including a showcase of classic bikes, sale of spare parts, food outlets, live bands and more interesting programmes.
Among the local biking groups taking part are the Bandusa, Samapala M6, Harley Owners Group (Penang Chapter), Pemuda Bahaya, Northern Demon MC among others.
