The Ideal Property Group was praised by Penang State Exco for Housing, Town and Country Planning, Jagdeep Singh Deo for their commendable effort to provide affordable homes via the Havana Beach Residences project.
Some 15 new home owners received letters of offer at a ceremony today.
Present was Ideal Property Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato Goh Teng Whoo.
The project has some 1,342 units complete with facilities like swimming pool, gym, recreation area, children’s playground.
“We need more developers like Ideal Property who have come forward to build low and medium cost homes in the state.
“I also wish to congratulate the new home owners who were selected by a stringent process.
“In Penang we face the shortage of land as we are an island. We have to do urban regeneration and reclaim land in a sustainable manner,” said Jagdeep.
He also added that Penang has a target of 220,000 affordable homes by 2030 and has reached 130,000 units todate.
“Meanwhile, I also call on the federal government to reveal how many of the 500,00 affordable homes announced under RMK12 for Penang.
