The newly launched Amari SPICE Penang hosted its very first Christmas tree lighting ceremony where some 250 guests had gathered.
Leading the celebration was hotel general manager Noorazzudin Omar and his team.
“We welcome all of you to our very first Christmas tree lighting ceremony for our hotel. I sincerely thank all of our corporate guests and media members for your attendance and support towards our hotel.
“We also like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all gathered,” said Noorazzudin in his address.
Also present was the deputy general manager, Property Northern Region, SP Setia Bhd, Sherman Kam and other heads of departments.
Some 20 children from Seri Cahaya Welfare Home in Batu Maung and their caretakers were also treated to some goodies and a fine dinner.
They were seen enjoying Santa making his rounds and handing out sweets and cookies.
The lovely buffet spread for the evening was put out by executive chef Koay Chee Ming and his team.
Guests were also treated to lucky draw prizes and good camaraderie at the meaningful gathering.

Among them include the Christmas Eve dinner and their Christmas Day brunch. They will also host their New Year countdown cum dinner party on Dec 31 from 6pm till late.
Priced at RM228+ per person(New Year party), it includes live band performance, deejays, party games and best dressed contest. On New Year’s day, they also offer their brunch from 11.30am to 3pm.
