Members of the public can now view the state structure plan to voice their views and opinions.
The move is more important as the plan will determine the future development and to move forward.
Among the components of the structure plan involves, workplace, investment, housing, transport, environment, utilities, climate change, infrastructure among others.
The draft plans are on display at the Syed Al-Attas Mansion and Makerspace in Balik Pulau, for two months till December 13, 2022.
Present was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow, State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Penang Mayor Dato Yew Tung Seang and Secretary A. Rajendran among others.
“We will continue with the delivery of services at the highest standards to all Penangites. Detailed planning has and will continue to be done, whereby we have already approved our State Structure Plan way back in October 2019.
“Several other plans such as the Special Area Plan for Penang Hill, Georgetown and Botanical Gardens which have been earlier approved are undergoing review now as we will always move ahead with the times as they are live documents,” he said.
