The Malaysia International Miniature Hobby Show 2024 is back.

This time around the event will be held at The Wembley, A St Giles Hotel from June 8 to 9, 2024. 

The showcase is one of the biggest gatherings of hobbyists in the South East Asian region.

Participants from as far as Singapore, Thailand, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, South Korea and the Philippines are expected to take part.

On show will be model aircrafts, battleships, tanks, transport planes, fighter jets, submarines, cruises, frigates, aircraft carriers,  accessories for collectors, posters, stickers and other figurines.

A press conference served as a run-up to the event at Komtar earlier today.

Present was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai along with founder and event organising chairman, Choo Huang Ming and his team.

“This event promises to be a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and craftsmanship and camaraderie within the miniature hobby community.

“It also highlights the significance and potential of the miniature model industry in the cultural and creative sector.

“Last year, there were some 25,000 guests who visited the show and we expect more enthusiasts this year”, said Wong in his opening address.

In the meantime, Choo added that there will also be 24 categories of competition among participants and exhibitors. 

“This event is among the Top 5 in the world after Japan and Hungary gatherings which draw even bigger participants”, added Choo.

Guests can also meet, greet and also take selfies with movie characters like the Storm Troopers, Predator and the likes.
