The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Perak Chapter has a new line-up of office bearers for the year 2022-2025.
The annual general meeting (AGM) was held yesterday (Feb 22, 2022) at the MU Hotel Ipoh.
They will be led by their new chairman, Vincent Ee who is also the general manager of the Flemington Hotel in Taiping.
When asked about his immediate plans for the MAH Perak Chapter, Ee said they will have to get on the ground to engage with the state government and its agencies along with non-governmental agencies (NGOs) to enhance networking for the betterment of the industry especially for Perak hoteliers.
“We have our work cut out for us since the pandemic is on-going. We will have to find new and innovative means to promote the hospitality industry while following all the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
“This is where strategic partnership and collaborations for the overall benefit for members comes in,” added Ee to Penang Hyperlocal.
Ee will be assisted by his vice chairman, Tony Wong,(1969 Business Suites).
Meanwhile, the Hon. Secretary is Kenn Chah representing Ipoh French Hotel along with the Hon. Treasurer, Cheong Kee Wang from the Travelodge Ipoh.
The committee members are Sherry Chan (Regalodge Ipoh), Muhamad Hairil Kumaradas (Symphony Suites), Dini Azima Mohamed Masum (Hotel Taiping Perdana), Philip Choong (Impiana Hotel Ipoh) and Tharamarajah Thangavelu (Rajah) (Hotel Excelsior).
Ms Joanne Chee from the MU Hotel is the internal auditor for the chapter.
