MAH Kedah/Perlis fruitful dialogue session with Kedah CPO

Members of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Kedah/Perlis held a dialogue with the Kedah Chief of Police recently.

The gathering was held at the Pelangi Beach Resort, Langkawi 

The aim of the meeting was to foster cooperation and to fight crime. Lending presence was Kedah CPO Dato Fisol Salleh and his team.

Welcoming Dato Fisol was Kedah/Perlis MAH chairman Eugene Dass, vice chairman Effendy Ramley and Pelangi Beach Resort general manager, Neoh Kean Boon.

Representatives from 25 hotels also made their presence in the dialogue session which was an interesting and lively affair considering safety and security of guests and staff members are of utmost importance to the hotels..

The session also served to get-to-know on a personal basis with the police force and forge a two-way communication and cooperation.

In view of the Visit Kedah Year 2024, several initiatives were also put forward and discussed.

Others present at the session were the deputy police chief DCP Datuk Abu Samah Mohd Noor, ACP Shariman Ashari and other heads of departments.

Dato’ Fisol in his address welcomed the move to meet the various hotel and resort general managers to overcome and resolve safety issues.

“I hope that this collaboration will continue on a regular basis to iron out any matters which may affect the safety and security of the hotels and resorts,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dass added that the dialogue was a much awaited event for his members as they now have a clearer picture on the dos and don’ts of any security situation.

The participants were later treated to a hi-tea session courtesy of the Pelangi Beach Resort F&B team.
