The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Kedah/Perlis Chapter held its meeting and year-end dinner gathering at the 5-star Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi.
In all, some 100 members and guests attended the gala gathering.
They were welcomed by chapter chairman, Eugene Dass and his committee members.
Representing MAH national was their Honorary Secretary General Dato Megat Sharul and Isaac Raj, the chief executive officer.
Dass in his opening address highlighted that it is vital for hoteliers and friends of the industry to come together like this at least once a year to celebrate togetherness.
“Regardless of whether your PnL is better than last year or not, we choose to get-together to have a fun-filled evening with the view of the beach and wonderful sunset.
“This is our time to pause and acknowledge one another and to remind each other that we are here.
“I also want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you for the support given to the MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter throughout this year. Like always challenges will come knocking on our doors, not like Santa with presents but with challenges that test our patience and abilities but we have to overcome them.”We are always comforted to know that MAH National has our back in issues we face”, said Dass in his address.
He also thanked the various sponsors for supporting the dinner gathering.
This was followed by a short address by the representative from MAH National.
Guests later adjourned for a fine dinner put out by the food & beverage team at the resort and forged camaraderie.
They also held a charity auction and lucky draw offering attractive prizes and room stay vouchers.
Among those present were Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi general manager Neoh Kean Boon, Adrian Chuah of Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah, Danny Yeo of Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang, Au Yong Hin Yoong from Parkroyal Langkawi, AiLin of Holiday Villa, Ben of Dash Resort among others.
