The M Social Resort Penang in Tanjung Bungah celebrated its first anniversary with long-stay guests, travel agents, members of the media, business partners, supporters and well-wishers.

Among those lending their support were several Consuls-General serving in Penang.

The guest of honour was Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, Deputy Chairman of Tourism Malaysia and Chairman of the Penang Port Commission.

Guests were welcomed by General Manager Jasmine Keh and her team, who hosted an elegant cocktail reception at the hotel lobby. The evening featured live band entertainment, providing the perfect setting for networking, camaraderie and friendship.

A specially crafted signature cocktail, the George Town Sour, was unveiled to commemorate the occasion.

In her welcoming address, Keh described the evening as a meaningful milestone for M Social Resort Penang and expressed her appreciation to everyone who had been part of the resort’s journey.

“Tonight marks a truly meaningful milestone for M Social Resort Penang, and we are delighted and deeply grateful to celebrate our first anniversary together with all of you.

“When we first opened our doors, we had a vision—to create a vibrant lifestyle resort where exceptional hospitality, creativity and genuine human connections come together. Over the past year, that vision has become a reality, made possible by the unwavering support of our guests, the trust of our business partners, and the dedication of our incredible team.”

Keh also highlighted several key achievements during the resort’s inaugural year.

“We were honoured to receive our 4-Star Hotel Accreditation, recognising the quality and service standards that our team strives to deliver every single day. We also successfully achieved our Halal Kitchen Certification.

“Most importantly, and something especially close to my heart, is our commitment to sustainability. Guided by our ESG values, we are proud to have been awarded the GreenRE Platinum Certification.”

She concluded her speech by inviting everyone to raise a toast to the resort’s continued success and many more milestones ahead followed by a cake cutting ceremony.

The celebration continued with a sumptuous buffet dinner, while guests also had the opportunity to win attractive prizes during a lucky draw, bringing the memorable evening to a fitting close.
