Lukfook Jewellery officially opened its first outlet outside of the Klang Valley at Gurney Paragon Mall today, marking a significant milestone in its Southeast Asian expansion.

The Hong Kong, China-based jewellery brand is globally renowned for its distinctive designs and innovative craftsmanship.

This new store is part of Lukfook Group’s ongoing strategy to broaden its presence across Southeast Asia.

The glittering launch ceremony was graced by prominent figures including Dato’ Seri Khor Teng Tong, Founder and Executive Advisor of Hunza Group; Dato’ Khor Siang Gin, Managing Director of Hunza Group; Ms Khor Tze Ming, Executive Director of Hunza Group; Ms Wong Hau Yeung, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Lukfook Group and Mr Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lukfook Group, among others.

The event commenced with a traditional lion dance performance, followed by speeches from the hosts and dignitaries.

“As a brand rooted in Hong Kong, China for over three decades, Lukfook Jewellery has consistently delivered exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Its fashion-forward aesthetics and outstanding quality have garnered acclaim from Chinese communities worldwide,” said Ms Khor Tze Ming.

“Today marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with Gurney Paragon Mall, where we aim to leverage each other’s strengths. This outlet—our fifth in Malaysia and the first in the Northern Region—is a glittering milestone that will elevate the luxury retail experience in Penang.”

Ms Khor also announced that Gurney Paragon Mall is set to welcome three new distinguished brands by Q4 this year:

  • San Xi Lou, a refined Cantonese restaurant from Hong Kong
  • Ban Bu Dian, featuring bold Sichuan flavours from China
  • Hanam BBQ, a popular Korean dining chain

She expressed excitement about the promising journey ahead for both Gurney Paragon Mall and the Lukfook Group.

Meanwhile, Wong Wai Sheung said that the Group Remains optimistic about the long-term development potential of overseas markets and proactively seizes opportunities arising from the growth of the tourism industry in Southeast Asia to expand its regional business presence.

“In particular, with Malaysia’s position as a regional hub, the establishment of a new store in Penang not only extends the group’s retail network in Southeast Asia, but also enhances the influence and market penetration of the Lukfook brand locally, further consolidating the group’s market position in the region..

“We will continue to actively pursue our corporate vision of “Brand of Lukfook, Sparkling the World”, providing global customers with superior, diverse jewellery products and dedicated service experience,” he added.  

The grand opening ceremony proceeded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and champagne toast, followed by a fashion showcase featuring models adorned in Lukfook’s latest jewellery collections. 

Guests had the opportunity to explore and purchase from the elegant displays throughout the store.
