Inculcating the value of doing a good deed for another human from a young age is priceless.
Take the example of four young kids who chose a commendable deed to help those suffering from cancer.
Nine-year-old twin sisters Chloe Liew and Zoe Liew recently decided to donate their beautiful lock of long hair for a worthy cause with some moral encouragement from their parents..
They took part in the iCut for Charity Programme organised by the Penang Adventist Hospital.
“Sharing our hair with the needy cancer patients is an awesome thing to do and it’s also an act of kindness,” said the kids.
They were so happy to note that their hairs were not going to the trash but instead it will be turned into wigs for those who needed it.
Also taking part in the program were their twin cousin sisters, Cailey Cheng and Caira Cheng, age seven.
The girls contributed approximately 10 inches of hair each, making it a total of approximately 40 inches.
The organiser hoped to achieve 100 inches of hair being cut and a sum of RM250 will be donated with every inch of hair donated.
They love their new look and love that they are able to make others happy too.
Donating your hair may be simple for someone who is in the pink of health but it makes a whole lot of difference in someone else’s life.
All it takes is a little research and to follow the step-to-step guide provided.
