Ms Jessica Chan is the EAM at the Light Hotel Penang

Ms Jessica Chan or Jess to friends has assumed the post of the Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at the 5-star property in Penang – the Light Hotel Penang.

Her core duties are overseeing the sales & marketing departments along with the added responsibility of undertaking special projects.

The seasoned hotelier holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Charles Sturt University, New South Wales in Australia.

Her long career spanning over 25 years in the hospitality industry has taken her to numerous hotels in Penang. 

Among them are the Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City, Hydro Hotel Penang, the iconic E&O Hotel, The Gurney Hotel & Residence, Vistana Penang and the Hotel Equatorial Penang to name a few.

“Throughout my professional journey, I have always placed great importance on perseverance, a mind set focused on achieving objectives and maintaining a positive outlook.

“Currently, I have taken up the post as the Executive Assistant Manager at The Light Hotel Penang, my responsibilities encompass the supervision of sales, marketing, communication, reservations, and revenue management besides leading in marketing of new projects for the management.

Chan reports to general manager, Raj Kumar on the day to day operations of the Light Hotel Penang.
