In conjunction with the upcoming expansion of its Hong Kong–Penang route to a double-daily service starting October 26, 2025, HK Express will host a special “Penang Media Familiarisation Trip” to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area.
The initiative is organised in collaboration with the Office of the Penang State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, under the leadership of YB Wong Hon Wai, aims to strengthen tourism and media ties between Penang and key destinations in the region.
As part of the itinerary, participating media representatives will visit the HK Express headquarters in Hong Kong and embark on curated sightseeing tours across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, offering them first-hand experiences of the airline’s network destinations.
A key highlight of the trip will be the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between HK Express represented by Jeanette Mao, CEO and Penang Global Tourism (PGT), marking a strategic collaboration to boost two-way tourism. PGT will be represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Ooi Chok Yan.
The media delegation is scheduled to depart from Penang on Sunday, October 26 and return on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
