It was a proud moment for G Hotel Penang’s chief concierge, Jason Kavin, when he was appointed the public relations officer of The Society of the Golden Keys Malaysia – Les Clefs d’Or.
With the appointment he was also selected to join the executive committee of society. The annual general meeting was held recently at The Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Working at the G Hotel for more than 18 years, Kevin has excelled in providing commendable service and assistance for guests and walk-in customers.
He started his career as a bellman and worked his way up the ladder.
For his part, he has also received rave reviews and comments from guests for his excellent service during their stay at the 5-star hotel. His team consists of a total of 13 members.
“The appointment recognizes Jason’s exceptional dedication, expertise and commitment to the highest standards of concierge service. We are confident that he will excel in this new role, contributing significantly to the esteemed organization and continuing to enhance the guest experience at our hotel”, said G Hotel general manager Michael Hanratty.
He also congratulated all the newly elected members of the Executive Committee for the 2024-2026 term.
In his new role for The Society of the Golden Keys Malaysia – Les Clefs d’Or, Jason will handle their social media, video postings and other announcements for the society.
“I enjoy the work at the G Hotel, although sometimes, there are challenges but we handle all of them in a positive way. The satisfaction we get is the positive reviews from them which makes our hard work worth our efforts”, said Jason who is a married with two kids.
In is spare time he likes to play football an also goes hiking to Botanical Gardens with friends.
Also sworn in was a new set of office bearers who were selected to serve for the term 2024 – 2026 term.
Among them are their president, Narain Rao (Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur), Vice President, Sharezal Abd Wahid (The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur), Honorary Secretary, Tan Chee Kang (Dorsett Hartamas), Assistant Honorary Secretary, Muhendra Reddy (The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi), Honorary Treasurer, Muhammad Syukur Masseng (Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur), Assistant Honorary Treasurer, Farouk Irwan (Pullman KLCC Hotel & Residence) and Head of Public Relations, Sazlin Jaafar (Capri By Frasers Bukit Bintang).
Meanwhile, Narain added that he is proud to lead the prestigious society and will focus his efforts on education, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects and also sports.
