In keeping with their corporate social responsibility, the StarCity Hotel in Alor Setar hosted some 57 underprivileged children at their hotel for a Christmas party recently.
The children were from Fungate Superflow Foundation Alor Setar and from St Philip St James Tamil Sunday School in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
They were received by the general manager of the hotel, Eugene Dass and his sales manager, Justlyn Lai and other heads of departments.
The annual affair was only disrupted during the pandemic and it was great to see the smiles on the faces of the little ones.
“It is always so heartwarming seeing the joy and smiles on the faces of the children and their caretakers. We are happy to host the children this time around,” said Dass, who is also the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotel, Kedah/Perlis chapter.
The kids were hosted to fine food and ice cream which they enjoyed thoroughly. They even had party games and prizes.
Last but not least, the appearance of Santa Claus and Santarinas bearing Xmas gifts brought much excitement for the kids.
