The Penang Sports Club (PSC) hosted a friendly darts tournament with the Singapore Cricket Club (PCC) over the Merdeka weekend.

Some 15 players from Singapore travelled all the way to Penang to participate in the competition.

The team was led by their darts convener, Ms Helen Campos accompanied by Ms Ravinder Kaur along with their team of players.

Among the participants were five lady darters and 10 gentlemen darters.

After a “fierce round” of competition, participants gathered for a round of camaraderie and fellowship.

In her address, Campos thanked the Penang Sports Club committee and members for graciously hosting them and making them feel at home.

“We wish to thank all members here for a good time and hospitality. We will also go out to enjoy some of the famous Penang hawker food and the sights.

“This is the first time our darts group is coming back to Penang after the Covid-19 pandemic”, she said, adding that they have also travelled to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on previous occasions.

The Singapore darts team hopes to come back to Penang next year for another round of darts and friendship.

The PSC team was led by their darts section captain, Dr S Palaniappan and convenor, Jimmy Tan accompanied by their darts team members.

Meanwhile, the Singapore darts group are staying at the NEO +Hotel Penang this time around.
