Some 130 children from the needy community received much needed assistance to return to school next year from the Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O).
Among them were 25 children of fishing communities from Tanjung Tokong, Persiaran Gurney, Paramount and Tanjung Bungah.
The school provisions included a set of school uniforms, a pair of school shoes and socks as well as a new school bag of their choice.
The presentation ceremony was held at the E&O Visitor Centre in Straits Quay here.
This is the 7th consecutive year the assistance project has been held by E&O.
