The Acai berry is known to have overall health benefits for those who consume it as part of their diet.
The plant is a native of Central America and South America. It is also known as “Euterpe Oleracea”.
More specifically, the fruit is a great antioxidant capable of slowing down premature aging.
Other benefits include boosting energy and vitality, detox effect, strengthening the immune system, lowering the cholesterol, regulating blood sugar, ally against constipation and also improving the nervous system.
According to the executive chef of the Amari SPICE Penang, Azmi Affandi, the inclusion of the acai berry is one of the desert highlights in their on-going “Malaysia Muhibbah Buffet Dinner” which is available September 28, 2024 at their Amaya Food Gallery.
The popular spread also offers an array of 100 Malaysian favourites and international delights including Thai, Japanese, Korean and fresh seafood available nightly.
There are also the cold counters of local salads such as kerabu, ulam-ulam and rojak buah, as well as mixed salads, cold cuts and a variety of condiments to tickle your palate.
The main event, Taman Amari Hawker will feature undisputed Malaysian signatures like Penang’s Char Koay Teow, Mee Mamak and Ikan Bakar just to name a few.
