Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer showcased its multi-mission medium transport aircraft, the KC-390 Millennium, for the first time in the region at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2025.

The KC-390, known for its sleek and commanding presence, is regarded as the most advanced tactical airlift aircraft in its class. Since entering service in 2019, the aircraft has quickly gained international attention for its speed—capable of flying at 470 knots—and operational versatility.

Designed for a wide array of missions, the KC-390 can perform tactical and strategic airlift, cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, humanitarian support, aerial firefighting, and air-to-air refueling.

Equipped with advanced sensors and secure communication systems, it ensures real-time connectivity between operational command centers and ground troops, enhancing mission effectiveness.

The KC-390 is currently in service with the air forces of Brazil, Portugal, andHungary, and has confirmed orders from South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic. In Asia, the aircraft is operated by Thailand, thePhilippines, and Indonesia, underlining its growing global footprint.

During LIMA 2023, Embraer’s newest commercial jet, the E190-E2, highlighted the company’s expanding footprint in both military and civilian aviation sectors.
