The Queensbay Mall has transformed its central atrium into a coastal setting reminiscent of an East Coast village decked with images of turtles, chalets, gazebos, pelita lights, coconut trees, camping tents and the lot.

This year’s Hari Raya celebrations  entitled “Eksplorasi Raya” offer a kaleidoscope of colours and vibrance.

The launch gambit included musical and dance performances. Present was the newly posted Tourism Malaysia Northern Region Director Abdul Hadi Man, the mall’s management team led by Peter Chan and Ms Selina Ng along with their team members.

Among the highlights was a lively traditional drum and dance performance.

“Our decorations at the central atrium of the mall captures the essence of Raya holidays in the states of East Coast, significantly, Terengganu and Kelantan.

“In line with our recent platinum certification for Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (TQA), we wanted to adopt the essence of Visit Malaysia 2026,” said Chan.

While the wau is symbolic of Kelantan, the 3D turtles and their babies coming ashore reflect Terengganu. And to give shoppers a feel of the beach, they have created a sand play corner for kids too.

The mall will also host several programmes for kids to partake from the festive season. Among them are Sampul Raya workshop, mini Labu Sayong painting workshop, along with mascot appearances.

At the launch ceremony yesterday evening, frequent shoppers were also rewarded for their loyalty.

Meanwhile, various redemption programmes will be ongoing to further boost the shopping fun for Raya. Do drop by Queensbay Mall to check out the excitement !
